The Balicore “Baby B” Hard Hat Sticker: Building a Culture of Excellence

At Balicore Construction, some of our most meaningful traditions have roots far beyond the jobsite.

For our COO, David Hackbirth, the inspiration comes from his upbringing in Ohio and his time playing football at Virginia Tech. In Ohio, football culture runs deep, and one of its most recognizable traditions is the helmet sticker. Popularized by Ohio State, these small decals are awarded to players for moments of excellence and key contributions on the field.

Over the course of a season, those stickers become more than decoration. They tell a story - one of hard work, commitment, and teamwork. Each one represents a contribution to something bigger than the individual.

At Balicore, we believe the same principles apply to construction.

To celebrate those contributions, Balicore introduced its own version of the helmet sticker tradition: the “Baby B” Hard Hat Sticker.

This award recognizes team members who exemplify the core values that drive our company forward:
