Cuffee Aquatic Center: Building Community Through Innovation

Balicore Construction is proud to serve as the general contractor for the Cuffee Aquatic Center, an exciting new addition to the Cuffee Community Center in Chesapeake, Virginia. This project represents a significant investment in the community and marks a major milestone as the City’s first public indoor aquatic facility.

Designed to serve both residents and visitors, the Cuffee Aquatic Center will provide a safe, welcoming, and family-friendly environment for all ages. The facility will include modern locker rooms, showers, and flexible program spaces to support a wide range of aquatic activities including swim lessons and youth programs to senior wellness initiatives, competitive swimming, and therapeutic recreation.

Key features of the facility include a 25-yard competition pool, a leisure pool, and a natatorium with a retractable roof, creating a dynamic space that can accommodate both recreational and competitive use.

At its core, this project is about connection. More than just a building, the aquatic center will serve as a hub for community engagement, bringing people together through health, recreation, and shared experiences.
